Hindi movie Tevar was released on 1st of January 2018 and became the most anticipated film of the year. Film has been created as remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy with some modifications. Film is directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Apurva Asrani. Moreover, the music is composed by Pritam Chakraborty. Film released on a very low budget of 8.5 crores and the total collection around 7 crores in 2018. Tevar is a remake of Telugu movie Arjun Reddy which was released in 2007. As the story was same, this film is directed by Shashank Khaitan with some modifications. The film stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Ronit Roy in main roles with Gulshan Devaiah, Dimple Kapadia, Rajat Kapoor and Boman Irani playing supporting roles. It is about the life of Nikhil (Varun Dhawan). He is a real estate agent and has a regular life. He lives with his parents and sister. His father is a alcoholic who always used to beat him up and so he has avoided his father. Nikhil lost his mother when he was just 2 years old and now he is afraid of any human contact. He has many enemies in Mumbai due to which he always tries to keep himself safe. On the other hand, we have seen that Jia (Alia Bhatt). She is a bubbly and outgoing girl who is popular amongst her friends as well as her schoolmates. She is the type of girl who never cares about what her friends say. She always stands up for herself and she opposes Nikhil's decisions. One day, Nikhil decides to go for a bike ride. He accidentally hits Jia due to which she starts bleeding. The only option left with him is to take her home with him. Then, Jia decides to stay at his home until she gets well. Nikhil was not prepared for this but he had no option left since he doesn't want to take any risk of getting caught by his enemies or police or anything else. Jia turns out to be a very nice and caring girl. She takes care of Nikhil's house and always tries to make him happy. Slowly, they start liking each other and their feelings were revealed. But Jia's family was against the relationship as her parents always believed that she belongs with them. One day, Nikhil asks Jia about why she is not staying with her family.
